200 gr of semillas de sesamo ( sesam seeds)
50 gr. of oil ( it can be sunflower, sesam, olive oil)
You heat up a huge frying-pan to medium/hot temperature, and then put the sesam seeds in and remove so they get toasted all over, and you will notice a very nice scent spreading out of the pan, then they are ready to go, hot in the food-processor, the heat favors the sesame oil to come out, you now get a dense paste, and you make it softer adding the oil.
Can be kept in the fridge for a couple of weeks.
Tahini has quite high levels of calcium, proteins, omega 3 and 6, that makes it good for vegetarians, and one of the ingredients to make humus.
